Education
In the remote communities of Guatemala, a lack of establishments for higher level education as well as a lack of resources becomes a barrier for young people who want to achieve their academic goals. This leads to high rates of illiteracy. For this reason, we do our best to provide all the resources and tools necessary for young people to achieve their academic goals, in an effort to break the cycle of poverty and empower a new generation with a better education.
Therefore, encourage one another and build each other up, just as you are doing. Thessalonians 5:11
Scholarships
Our education program is designed to provide equitable access to higher education for students from remote and underserved communities. Through targeted scholarships, we aim to remove financial barriers and create meaningful opportunities for academic advancement and personal growth. By investing in these students, we are not only empowering individuals but also contributing to the long-term development of their communities. Living to Serve is currently supporting 9 students with scholarships in our education program. Our current goal is to acquire enough sponsors to provide scholarships for 15 students. Living to Serve believes in educating the next generation to end the cycle of poverty in the underserved communities of Alta Verapaz. If you would like to support this program contact us below!
